How Accelalpha is Helping Companies Transform Data Management
The Accelalpha Data Management System (ADaMS) is a new tool from Accelalpha helping companies transform the management and use of their data. It can be used for managing master and transactional data for the Oracle cloud applications, such as OTM (Oracle Transportation Management) and GTM (Global Trade Management). Since ADaMS is built into Oracle cloud applications, Accelalpha's experts can leverage this tool during implementation, mainly when dealing with large data sets and migration of data from legacy systems. We can also use ADaMS as a platform to host any customizations required for data management capabilities that aren't met by existing features in the Oracle cloud applications.
How the Accelalpha Data Management System Works
Information about master data such as third parties, destinations, and transactional data like shipment transactions need to be imported into the Oracle cloud applications. This will enable a full transition to the cloud and allow organizations to generate managerial and regulatory reports. ADaMS provides a straightforward way to upload both expert and transactional data.
A recent Accelalpha customer wanted to move to Oracle GTM cloud. We were able to deploy and customize ADaMS to migrate data from customer’s legacy system to the GTM and OTM cloud. This made it possible for the customer to plan shipments, capture actual shipment quantities being loaded, and upload the shipment data into the Oracle GTM and OTM systems.
Why it Was Created
Importing large datasets into Oracle GTM and OTM created challenges that limited companies’ ability to scale their OTM and GTM systems. As a result, Accelalpha Data Management System was created to provide a flexible tool that anyone can use to create a template that fits their specific dataset and then uploads that data into OTM and GTM.
Accelalpha has been adding more capabilities to ADaMS to streamline other activities related to transactional and master data. It is now ready for other Oracle cloud applications such as SCM, ERP and Financials. Additional customized data management capabilities can be added to the ADaMS tool in just a few weeks.

In the future, we plan to build additional capabilities such as data load for rate management into ADaMS to streamline the rates and contract management processes. We deploy the Accelalpha Data Management System as a complimentary, one-time service as part of your Oracle cloud applications implementation.
