Client Success Story
Data management company migrates from on-premises legacy system to the cloud
A California-based data management company that provides global multi-cloud management services for over 80,000 customers selected Accelalpha to guide them through a migration to the Oracle Cloud. The company's customers rely on them to provide protection, compliance, and data recovery while protecting against potential cyberattacks and ransomware disruptions.
Before teaming up with Accelalpha to transition to the cloud, the company was already utilizing Oracle's on-premises Global Trade Management (GTM) solution but knew it was time to upgrade to the cloud to keep up with its growing needs. Accelalpha implemented a cloud migration to Oracle GTM Cloud that delivered a significant return on investment.
The Challenge
The company's primary goal was to seamlessly transition and upgrade from an outdated, on-premises system to Oracle Global Trade Management (GTM) Cloud. Lowering the risks associated with their old on-premises system was a significant priority for this data security company. At the same time, another objective was to automate processes within the cloud to reduce labor and operational cost.
Our Approach
Accelalpha went above and beyond to address and resolve the company's pain points and concerns throughout the project. We provided our customer with a customized implementation plan to fit their budget and needs, even completing the project under budget. With hands-on training, Accelalpha gave the company's team the confidence to use Oracle GTM effectively post-implementation.
The Results
The Oracle Global Trade Management Cloud helps protect the company from inadvertently shipping products to parties who are not permitted to receive them because of trade sanctions. The Oracle Cloud environment provides a faster system with an improved user interface, and the Accelalpha implementation delivered automated processes and reduced costs. The Oracle GTM cloud application is continuously improved and updated at least 3 times a year to ensure customers can comply with all international trade agreements and embargoes.
