The Challenge
Accelalpha’s customer is a prominent player in the dairy industry and serves a diverse global clientele across 30 countries. Owned by a collective of 350 dairy farms and members of the Northwest Dairy Association, the organization embarked on a transformational journey with Accelalpha to implement Oracle Cloud Applications. This comprehensive logistics cloud transformation encompassed the implementation of Oracle Global Trade Management (GTM) and Warehouse Management System (WMS), seamlessly integrating with the organization's existing Oracle Trade Management system.
With Global Trade Management (GTM), the organization will enhance trade compliance and operational agility. Key objectives included rigorous Restricted Party List Screening (RPLS), improved product classification, and streamlined document generation to meet specific country’s customs requisites. Integration with external systems further fortified document notarization processes.
The Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementation involved several phases covering Order Management, Procurement, Inventory, and Contracts. These modules improved inventory management in the warehouse and across manufacturing and shipment of products. Advanced picking methods, lot tracking, and compliance obligations like bill of lading and certificates of authority documentation further streamlined operations.
