Industrial Manufacturer Reduces Costs and Improves its Customers’ Experience with Oracle OTM Cloud
Accelalpha implemented Oracle GTM (Global Trade Management) Cloud in 2018 for a leading electronic test and measurement equipment manufacturer. Recently, the organization returned to Accelalpha to implement Oracle OTM Cloud and integrate it with its existing GTM Cloud and Oracle E-Business Suite.
The Challenge
The organization's number one priority was to improve its customers’ experience by providing real-time visibility to the customers’ shipments. Another objective was to integrate a transportation management system into the company’s logistics processes to provide visibility into freight and shipment costs and ultimately reduce overall shipping costs.
Our Approach
Accelalpha cleaned the organization’s master data and integrated customer records, sales orders, and product shipments to provide a complete customer view within Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).
With Oracle OTM also integrated with EBS, the organization can now manage and maintain real-time shipment visibility across all regions from a single application.
The Results
With this implementation of Oracle OTM Cloud, the company has improved and standardized its global Order-To-Cash (OTC) process. The automated process increases operational efficiency and reduces errors caused by manual data entry.
The OTM solution reduces transportation costs through the consolidation of shipments. It provides access to more parcel delivery services with better shipping rates so the organization can find the best rate across all parcel carriers to further reduce costs.
Accelalpha enabled shipment tracking so that customers are able to see exactly where their shipments are in real-time.
